As much as I love these pieces it’s time for them to leave the studio, head out into the big world and find their forever home!
Just email me at judelally@gmail.com if you’d like to give a piece a good home
Have you ever seen faces appear out from leaves or the greenery? This is the face of the green man, Jack o’ the woods the fertility of the forest. He adorns many ancient churches in England. He is the protector of the forest until the summer solstice when he looses in battle to the Oak King who reins over the following months leading to the winter solstice.

Twilight is an in-between time, neither night nor day. A luminal time between worlds where magic exists. The stones’ crystals catch the last rays of the sun, turning the stone into a beacon of shimmering colors. Take a few minutes to just be, let the endless stream of thoughts just drift on. Soak in the peace of this time where magic exists.
The base is a tapestry upholstery fabric onto which I needle felt the hill from yarn. The stone is made separately from merino wool and embellished with embroidered french knots and seed beads. The rings of the moon are stitched in and embellished with beads before adding the glass moon. Lastly the swirling clouds are needle felted and sewn over with white thread. Measurements Tall 18cm, wide 31 cm Sale price $15 (reduced from $35)
A waning moon hangs in the sky above three standing stones. It is a time of bringing things to closure. A monthly reminder to work on things we wish to let go of in life. The offering pocket holds your sacred offerings – affirmations, a song or poem or anything you call sacred. Soon the moon will dissapear from the sky and it is the time of the dark moon – a time for turning to Lilith, of facing the dark crone of Baba yaga – if you dare!
Making process – Firstly I created the middle center piece needle felting the purplish hills on a felted recycled lambswool sweater. The stones are made from cut shapes of felt with layers of merino needle felted on top – machine sewn and embroidered with french knots to resemble lichen. Next the finally backing was added and a pocket to hold your sacred offerings.

Cernunnos or possibly Herne?
There is an old tale goes, that Herne the hunter,
Sometime a keeper here in Windsor forest,
Doth all the winter time at still midnight,
Walk around about an oak, with great ragg’d horns;
And there he blasts the tree, and takes the cattle;
And makes milch-kine yield blood, and shakes a chain
In a most hideous and dreadful manner.’
‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’ Shakespeare
But Herne is more than one of the keepers of Windsor Forest – he is part Horned God part Cernunnos and part spirit of the wood and all that lives and grows there. It is said he is often seen accompanied by his pack of hounds, galloping across the Great Park hunting for lost souls and helping them cross to the otherworld.
Making process – I wet felted the base then needle felted on the green and the Herne figure. Then I embellished and highlighted with some machine sewing. I then added beads to the Herne figure
Measurement 10 x 11 4/8 inches. The piece is reinforced with a thin metal rod at the back and i’ve added a small circular hoop to for hanging. Sale price $20 (reduced from $48)
Goddess Doll – Sold
She is a wisp of blue sky glimpsed through grey rain clouds which makes your heart soar. She is the flight of a crow who has been waiting patiently for the rain to go off while sheltering in an old oak tree. Her dress is a wisp of the milky way and the wonder of a shooting star against darkening skies. She is a mother figure and offers hope and a light heartedness to those tied down with worry.
She is a great friend for an altar – affirmations, gratitude’s, poems etc can be curled up and put in her bag.
Making process – I start off using dark core wool for the head – and making a cone shape for the body. Next I apply a lighter layer of skin tone wool, and add the features – all through needle felting. Needle felting is a dry felting process where you use extremely sharp barbed needles.The head gets grafted onto the body and I add some arms. her dress is a mix of hues of blue which I carded together and added some angelina (synthetic sparkle). She wears a silk lined velvet coat and a goddess pendant necklace and a velvet medicine bag.
Measurements – She stands 13 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches wide. This is not a toy or suitable for children. Sale price $25 (reduced from $78)
