Hi, my name is Jude and I’m a complete slacker. Some days I just find it impossible to get anything done. the only thing that changes on my ‘to-do’ list is the day at the the top of the page.
So what is the challenge you might ask. Well it’s not a cabbage soup diet, or pills that make you a size 6 by the end of the week, or seven days of shopping for things that are somehow going to make my life just perfect. All it is is one last attempt to move back into a 1946 converted school bus.
This bus has survived temperatures of a Maine winter s of -35 oF (-17oc) (that’s lived in) hailstorms, tropical storms and all that nature threw at it. So it’s pretty indestructible, has a wood stove, seats, a fridge, bedroom and composting toilet. So what’s the problem? (refer back to the first sentance). And so moving into the bus goes round in circles of inaction, of obstacles (probably of our own making) and back we go to constant hot running water, warms baths an the spare room at my mother in laws.
So I’m setting myself a challenge. Seven days to move back into the bus – get curtains up, bed in, storage space sorted, a couple of walls painted, fridge cleaned. Then one almighty bonfire for the full moon on new years eve!
