Call 1 edit

She Who Calls the Deer

This workshop is now full

04/19th. 10.30-5.30. Woodfin (5 mins from Downtown Asheville). $75

In this day retreat we will explore the roots of the Deer Goddess and her relationship to the Cailleach and Elen of the Ways through shamanic journey, guided meditation as well as conversations around the literature relating to her – through folklore, journal articles and books.

We will journey to the time of the female shaman of the people of the reindeer and explore our impressions through art and journalling as well as sharing within the sacred space we have set for our retreat.

Sacred art

After a shared lunch we will create our sacred art piece inspired by the mornings activities – a needle felted alter/offering wall hanging. The wall hanging (an example above) will feature a figure or scene and contain a pocket for offerings, gratitude’s or payers. All art materials are provided although participants are encouraged to bring special embellishments they might want to incorporate into their piece.
